We are currently expanding our school-based mental health services and have the following position available:
School-Based Mental Health Clinician
Full-Time | Late January Start | Mohawk School District
Angelus Therapeutic Services is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our growing school-based program at Mohawk School District, beginning late January.
Due to the success of our school-based mental health services in other districts, Mohawk is expanding support for students and families. The clinician hired for this role will play an important part in launching this expansion and helping shape the program as it continues to grow into the next school year.
Position Overview
This is a full-time, school-based position that blends district-funded Wellness services with insurance-based Compass outpatient counseling. The role emphasizes prevention, early intervention, collaboration with school teams, and direct clinical care for students.
As the program expands, this position offers the opportunity to grow into a lead clinician role, helping to support additional school-based staff and ongoing program development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling to children and adolescents within the school setting
- Deliver school-based mental health and wellness supports
- Facilitate small groups focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, and social development
- Collaborate closely with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and families
- Participate in student support and MTSS-related meetings as appropriate
- Assist with crisis response and de-escalation
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Pennsylvania licensure as an LPC or LCSW
- Master’s degree in counseling or social work
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently within a school environment
Preferred:
Prior school-based or community mental health experience
Experience facilitating groups
Trauma-informed clinical approach
