About Jennifer Mariano

Licensed Professional Counselor

Child, Teens, Adults, & Couples Therapist

Hi, I’m Jen, a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. I’ve spent over two decades working in behavioral health, and I’m passionate about supporting people of all ages—children, teens, and adults—as they navigate life’s challenges.

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, a teen feeling lost or anxious, or an adult experiencing grief, burnout, or life transitions—you don’t have to carry it all alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Therapy is a place to take a breath, sort through what’s weighing on you, and start building the tools you need to move forward.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and rooted in compassion. I’ll meet you where you are—whether you’re just beginning to open up or ready to make deeper changes. I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to be honest and brave enough to stretch. You don’t have to have it all figured out—I’ll walk beside you every step of the way.

My Approach

I believe therapy should be as unique as the person {or relationship} sitting across from me—there’s no one-size-fits-all model for healing. Each person brings their own experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I tailor my approach to fit those individual needs. Whether we’re addressing a specific issue like anxiety or grief, or simply trying to understand how to feel more grounded day to day, our work together will be collaborative and compassionate.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based methods to support your journey, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns

  • Mindfulness & Stress Management – to build awareness and resilience

  • Solution-Focused Therapy – to highlight your strengths and identify small, meaningful changes

  • Grief-Informed Therapy – to create space for processing loss in all its forms

My goal is to meet you exactly where you are—offering space for honest conversation, personal reflection, and practical tools to help you feel more confident and in control of your emotional world. I bring a calm, grounded presence to therapy, whether we’re helping a child manage emotions, guiding an adult through a season of grief, or helping a couple reconnect and strengthen their relationship.

Specialty Focus

While I welcome a wide range of concerns into the therapy room, my primary areas of clinical focus include:

  • Grief & Loss

  • Anxiety & Depression

  • Neurodivergence & Autism Spectrum Support

  • Emotional Regulation & Coping Skills

  • Family Support & Parenting Guidance

I hold certification as a Grief Support Practitioner (GSP-C) and have extensive experience walking alongside clients through some of life’s most emotionally complex seasons. Whether you’re a parent, teen, or adult, my approach remains the same: to listen deeply, to support fully, and to help you feel empowered to take the next step forward—whatever that may look like for you.

    A Little About Me

Clients often tell me they feel at ease in my presence—and that’s important to me. I want every person who walks into my office to feel seen, supported, and empowered. Outside of therapy, I find balance in spending time with my family, running (especially with my kids), and losing myself in a good book. I believe in the healing power of connection—and I carry that belief into the work I do every day.

    Let’s Begin Together

Healing takes time, but you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or someone you love, I’d be honored to walk beside you.

Reach out to us at 724-654-9555 today to schedule an appointment—I look forward to meeting you!
