About Jillian Winklevoss
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Specializing in Child & Adolescents
& Older Adults/ Seniors
Hi! I’m Jill, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Angelus. I have 20 years of experience working with children, teens and seniors in various settings, such as Behavior Support, Adoption and Foster Care, Career Counseling, Residential Treatment, School Based Counseling and Outpatient Mental Health Counseling.
I have always wanted to help people, and my work with those at the two opposite ends of the age continuum, assisting them as they navigate life’s changes, heal from trauma, grow as individuals & families, and develop healthier relationships has allowed me to love what I do.
Why Work With Me?
I have been Certified as a Grief Informed Professional to help people as they move through the stages of grief and many layers of loss and bereavement that accompany it.
I am Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Certified, helping families find new ways to bond and relate with young children with behavioral issues.
I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and have had focused trainings & experience in Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and Aggression Replacement Training.
My therapeutic approach focuses on identifying emotions, identifying relaxation strategies, finding internal motivation, and learning how to make life adjustments to make improvements.
My goal in treatment is to help my clients move through their experiences and find motivation in order to improve one small thing each week. I truly believe that the therapeutic experience will help you move through your hurts and pain with an ally. I want you to find freedom on the other side.
Fun Facts about me:
I find enjoyment spending time with my husband and 3 kids. I enjoy playing the piano, listening to music (of most kinds) and reading. I love playing games and having fun. When I’m not at work, you can find me with my family or helping at my local church.
